SUBJUNCTIVE STRATEGY

Subjunctive is a trigger, not a tense

Memorize the WEIRDO triggers. Conjugation matters less than knowing when the trigger fires. Indicative and subjunctive share most verb forms.

One category per session. Mixing WISH with EMOTION blurs the patterns; isolate each trigger for at least 20 drills before combining.

Indicative is not the default. Don't ask "do I need subjunctive?" — ask "is there a trigger?". No trigger = indicative.
